The Quality Assurance Department ensures that all of the departments in our team are operating at the high standards of Rocky Mountain Robotics. They help to make sure that everything the departments make individually will work together, and work effectively. They go beyond evaluating the physical aspects of the robot to look at how the team works together, so that all of the deadlines our met and our robot is completely met. They also help to ensure that the members of our team are working safely on the robot.

The Scouting and Strategy Department helps our team to succeed in the regional competition finals every year. They observe the other robots in competition and interview members of other FIRST teams to keep track of their qualities. They use all of this information so that we know what teams can help us most as allies, and what strategy we should use in our matches. They determine what qualities are most important for the robots, and help to plan our strategy in the Final Round. Because of them, our team is competitive in the Final Round of Regionals.

The Animation Department receives a task from FIRST every year to make a specific sort of animation, just like the team gets the task to build a specific robot. This department represents our team well in the animation competition. They storyboard the animation, to determine what would be the best way to respond to the task FIRST has given them. Once they have planned out the animation to be both effective and enjoyable, they get to work on the animation software to make it a reality. Because of their work, we have a strong showing in the animation competition every year.
