2011 – 2012 Rocky Mountain Robotics Team Lettering Requirements
In order to earn a letter, students must remain academically eligible during the build season and earn at least eighty-five (85) points from the categories listed below. Department VPs will keep track of points so report activities to them.
- Attendance:
- Attend meetings and be productive
- Completion of 85% of the following will result in earning the maximum points. Below 85%, will result in earning the actual percentage completed of the maximum points.
- Attend build season meetings when your team requests your attendance
- Be engaged in RMR related activities during team meetings
- To be capped at 55 points per year
- Community Service/Fundraising Events/Teambuilding Events – Participate in community service, fundraising and/or teambuilding events - Minimum of 10 hours (1 point per hour)
- Mentor or Coach a FLL or JR FLL Team
- Lego League Tournament
- Company Demonstrations
- Visiting Schools
- Mining Museum Demonstration
- Volunteering at the Regional
- RMR Fundraising Events
- “Fun” Nights
- Other “Chairman of the Board” Approved Events
- To be capped at 20 points per year
- Competition Events – Participate in major competition events - Minimum of 1 day at 1 regional. Two half days is also acceptable (10 points per event)
- Kick-Off (January 7, 2012)
- Regional Competition
- Denver: (March 1-3, 2012)
- Kansas: (March 22-24, 2012)
- Potential Corporate Sponsorship – Contact at least one potential corporate sponsor and provide them with team information packet (10 points per contact)
- Must be verified by mentor or VP
- To be capped at 20 points per year
