Departing from DCC and other information

We are departing from Discovery Canyon Campus, not the District 20 central office. The information given on one of the handouts was incorrect. Be sure to come with your bags by 6:00 p.m.!

Optimus Lime is on its way

The Fed Ex truck drove away yesterday with Optimus Lime. As promised, I did a little dance. I also wanted to remind you that we will be meeting tonight (Wednesday) to celebrate another successful build season. After we eat ice cream and other treats, we'll do a little clean up. We'll go from 6:00 to 7:30. —Buhler

Old cell phones and game controllers

If anyone has any old cell phones or video game controllers or anything else with a rumble feature that they'd be willing to donate to the team, I am in need of a few more to use in the joysticks for this year (and future years if it seems as useful as I believe it will be). If you have anything that sounds like it might have a small motor in it, please bring it into programming/ electrical room in the next few days. Please note that they will probably not be returned to you in usable condition so make sure that you don't need them anymore before deciding to bring them to me. —Ross

Scrimmage will be held on Saturday

The robotics scrimmage, an event in which Colorado teams can test out their robots a few days before the ship date, is coming up on Saturday, February 16. The event is too small to warrant the presence of a majority of the team, so the number of students will be limited to five. We'll be leaving at 7 a.m. and return around 4 p.m. later that day.

Deposits for regionals are due Wednesday

If you're planning on attending the regional FRC competition up in Denver, March 26-29, a $50 deposit is required so that we know who is planning to go. This deposit should be in a check made out to Air Academy High School.

Everyone needs to be present as we will be taking note of those still part of the team for competition T-shirt orders.
