We thank our sponsors:
Welcome to the Rocky Mountain Robotics website, maintained entirely by students and the vehicle by which RMR transmits its vision and mission to the world: of a future populated by appreciation of scientific and technological endeavors.
The website's design has changed twice in the past. The first design was based on a content management system designed by former Website VP Evan Lojewski; the second design was based around this structure as well. The current design's preliminary stages began via discussions in the Website team late 2007, and the design in earnest was formulated winter 2007.
This site is maintained by the Website team, led by Preston, its VP. We use an open-source content management system (CMS) named Drupal, a PHP-based framework used by Yahoo! in their internal pages and by other major websites. A very big thank you to Matt Tucker for his consultative contributions regarding its modules as well as Drupal development. Special thanks also to Mr. Buhler, Mr. Hartung, Nate, Michael, and Bill, for providing comments during the testing phase.
Rocky Mountain Robotics is a steadfast advocate of Web accessibility, the practice of providing disabled viewers the ability to browse websites with ease. RMR achieves this end via accesskeys, valid markup, and provisions for images.
Accesskeys: This site can be navigated effectively via accesskeys. Press ALT + [accesskey] in Windows operating systems or CTRL + [accesskey] in Apple operating systems to navigate using the accesskeys. What follows is a reference guide to the accesskeys of this site:
Valid markup: Rocky Mountain Robotics uses valid XHTML 1.0 Strict, CSS 2, and 508 per the recommendations of the World Wide Web Consortium. To validate any of the site’s semantic markup, you can use the accesskeys h (XHTML), i (CSS), and j (508) to validate. Or you can use the three links at the bottom of the screen.
Provisions for images: Every image has a meaningful alt attribute. All images have some contextual meaning, and there are no decorative images with null attributes.
