William Hartung is a math and science teacher and is in his fourth year teaching at Air Academy High School. He enjoys his summers in the outdoors riding his motorcycles, backpacking with friends, or spending weekends fishing.

Mr. Hartung received a degree in industrial arts and spent his first career in the Navy working in both the aviation and satellite communications fields. He brought his family to Colorado Springs in 1994 when he took a job with a small defense contracting firm working as a satellite communications system engineer. He has a well equipped workshop and looks forward to helping students learn to safely make the parts they have designed.
